Lydia's first day of preschool

Today was Lydia's first day of preschool at LSCCS (where Jake goes). She has the same teacher that Jake had last year for pre-K, Mrs. Swafford. Mrs. Swafford is the most amazing teacher one could ever hope for. Jake's RDI consultant said last year that Mrs. Swafford ranks in the top 10 teachers she has ever seen. (And she has seen a lot raising her own kids and having lots and lots of clients over the years.) I would totally agree with that. Amanda Swafford has a gift and she is definitely doing the work that God planned for her. What a blessing to our family and to LSCCS!

Having Mrs. Swafford plus the fact that one of her little friends, Caroline, is in there made it all good for Lydia this morning. She sort of had this deer in the headlights look as we walked in but she did great. She drew a great little picture of her friend Caroline and she said that they sang Jesus Loves Me and talked about Jesus. No mention of the fact that they had a little birthday party. LOL! All in all, it was good and she is tired. She is napping right now before we go pick up Jake and head over to speech therapy.
