Jake had his pre-K Thanksgiving performance this morning. The kids sang about 8 or so songs for 20 mins. He did great. He was such a ham and was really getting into it making the entire audience chuckle. My dad summed it up perfectly when he said, "Who would have thought? The same kid who used to be afraid of applause and the Happy Birthday song practically wants to do a solo performance up there!" He was a HOOT! Then, we came home after lunch and he and his buddy K were playing outside. Jake is sort-of in to playing basketball right now so I got the basketball and proceeded to teach him how to dribble it in about 5 minutes. It is AMAZING what you can accomplish when you have perfect M/A! Teaching and learning is so easy! Then, he put his bike helmet on, got his little bike withOUT training wheels out of the garage and asked me to help him. We tried several times last summer to teach him to ride without training wheels. He had little to no interest and we got basically nowhere. Well, I went over helped him, pushed him along a little bit, let go and he took off all over the driveway steering and dodging the toys that were riddled all over the driveway! At that point we made a call to Dad at the office and Grandma and Grandpa to tell them of our new found skills!
I don't know if I can keep up with this kid!!! ;-) This is so fun!
