Jake has really taken to being able to tell Lydia what is important. Not only is he telling her what it is important, he is telling her why. For example, he told her in the car today, "Lydia, it is important not to eat your shoe! You will get sick!" He's only done it a time or two without us suggesting that he tell her about what it is important but he is so getting the hang of it so fast!
He is also starting to tell us what the plan is in 4 steps for sometime in the near future. Ex. He told us on the way home from my sister's tonight, "First we are going to go home and take our clothes off. Second, we are going to run around like crazy naked kids. Third, we are going to take a bath. And, fourth, we are going to watch Super Sleuth Christmas Movie!!" He's such a little negotiator! He had just finished watching that movie at my sister's with his cousins and sister. So, I told him, "Well. No. First you are going to take your clothes off. Second you can run around like crazy naked kids and be silly! Third, you will take a bath and say 'ahhhhhhh I'm clean!'' and fourth, we are going to read lots of books. He then says, "Yep! And fifth, we are going to hang out in the family room!" (He knew bed was next!)
