The Halloween Party

Last night was our friends' big Halloween bash that they have every year. It is always fun but this year was especially great. First of all, Jake recalled the Halloween party from last year when we pulled up for the party last night. There was an inflatable haunted house and a tunnel with strobe lights. He kept saying "Mom, come on. Come with me! This is awesome! This is so cool! Let's go!" During the pinata he got in there and tried to get as much candy as the other kids. Last year he didn't get into that hubub. The best part is that he ran around and played and talked with the other boys his age. He was just right in there. Heck, half the time we couldn't even find him. He was just "with the pack." But, we knew we could trust him to behave appropriately, hold his own, communicate effectively, and not leave the yard because we told him it was "very very important" not to leave the yard. So cool!
